To say Damian Anderson is a man of the world is somewhat of an understatement. Born in London of Caribbean parents, Damian lived in Jamaica till he was 12, moved to the United States where he would call DC, New York and presently San Francisco home.
Damian Anderson began playing guitar after graduating college and moving to New York City in the early 1990's. Having been the lead singer of various bands and A Capella singing groups in college, Anderson figured it was only natural to add guitar to the repertoire if he hoped to pursue music as his passion. After playing minimal gigs in Manhattan and feeling the anxiety of the rush and pull of New York, Anderson relocated to the west coast for new inspiration.
In 2000 the Bay Area became home and Anderson began to hone his skills in San Francisco's famous coffee shops and bars. By the summer 2002, he became a regular on the San Francisco music scene and began and is still building a large and dedicated following. Of his debut CD, released in July of 2003, a writer was quoted as saying "somewhere between heartache and recovery comes inspiration. "Winding Roads of the Past" takes you on a journey through thoughts, emotions and hope. This is one road that you'll want to wander over and over again."
